At Hallowed Harvest Seed Co., we believe that seeds are sacred; carrying the stories of the earth and the power to cultivate love, light, and healing. We honor the land through mindful practices that embrace the cycles of nature, planting with intention guided by the lunar calendar, and treating each seed with respect and care.
We are deeply grateful to those who walked, tended, and cared for the land before us. Their stewardship and wisdom are woven into the fabric of the earth, and we seek to honor their legacy by cultivating with reverence for the sacredness that lives within these communities.
Our mission is to preserve and share heirloom and rare seeds, ensuring their vitality within the grower community while fostering a deeper connection between people and the earth. We are committed to making gardening accessible to all, welcoming growers of every space, experience level, and need.
Planting is an act of resistance, an altar for manifestation, and a foundation for the life you wish to create. Whether you’re growing food, flowers, or medicine, we believe that whatever calls to you is what you are meant to cultivate. By sharing seeds, we extend peace, love, and kindness, nurturing not just gardens but the communities they sustain.
Together, let us sow with intention, grow with purpose, and harvest with gratitude, always remembering the sacred lineage of those who came before us and the boundless potential of those yet to come.
Our Mission
Our Plan
Was this a crazy scheme for two friends to start a business? Just two women who love to garden deciding they can run a whole farm? Well, yes. We know it’s wild, but the world is wild, and we’re here for the challenge. More importantly, we’re here to learn, grow, and build something meaningful along the way.
Our seeds have been lovingly nurtured by Amy McKamey of Heritage Meadows Farm, and we are incredibly lucky to be learning from her. Amy is a badass female farmer who has spent years honing her craft. When the time came for her to shift focus to other important projects, she wanted to pass the torch to someone who would continue her work with the same care and dedication. That’s where we come in, two close friends with a passion for plants, learning, and growing together.
The future is uncertain, but we are excited to develop, educate, and turn this company into something bigger than just selling seeds. We want to create a space for learning, independence, and connection. Follow us on our journey, we can’t wait to see where it takes us.
Gardening isn’t political in the way of parties and platforms. It’s political in the way that every action has a consequence, and life is deeply connected. We must ask ourselves who are we serving, who has access to fresh food, and who is left out? Gardening is an act of love, a commitment to caring for the land and our community. It’s an act of resistance, recognizing that self-sufficiency and mutual support push back against systems of oppression. It’s an act of liberation, knowing that beauty, nourishment, and abundance grow strongest when shared.
We are a safe and inclusive company. Here we know that Black Lives Matter. Queer and Trans Lives Matter. We acknowledge that we are on stolen land. The systems built to serve the wealthy harm everyday people, but every small act of connection, sharing seeds, growing food, supporting one another, is a step toward something better. We value compassion, kindness, and meeting people where they are. Everyone’s journey is different, and we are here to support, uplift, and grow together.
There will always be a seat at our table for those who show respect to the community around us.
Our Core Beliefs
Our Impact
We acknowledge that we operate on the stolen lands of the Miami, Potawatomi, Lenape, and Shawnee peoples. We recognize the enduring legacy of these Indigenous communities and honor their past, present, and future stewardship of the land.
As a commitment to reparative action, 2%, and eventually more, of each sale is donated to Indigenous organizations supporting the Miami, Potawatomi, Lenape, and Shawnee tribes, helping to sustain their cultural, educational, and community initiatives.
We encourage our customers to learn more about the history and resilience of these nations and to support Indigenous-led efforts toward justice and sovereignty.
